Blue Energy Demo Katwijk

30 January 2020

Unfortunately we didn’t manage to arrange the financing of the intended Blue Energy Demo in Katwijk in time, therefore the letter of intent for the realisation of the Blue Energy Installation will not be continued. This means that the Waterboard Hoogheemraadschap Rijnland now will not actively participate anymore in the development of a Demo Installation in Katwijk, and instead will look to alternative options to fulfil their sustainability ambition. Though, this doesn’t mean the end of the project. Below the press release (in Dutch), as it was communicated to the press last Friday.

REDstack continues to work on the development of a similar project at a different locations, in the province Zeeland, at the discharge of the Noordzeekanaal and on the Afsluitdijk.
